Bratty Toddlers

 I am going to tell you my opinion about bratty kids. I have a large experience with bratty three-year-old's. First I am going to tell you about bratty toddlers and then I will tell you my opinion on it. My niece has entered the stage of so-called "maturity". I find her very annoying and mean. Brats are the worst things I have dealt with so far in my life. I will tell you my niece's name to facilitate this for me, It is  Isabela. She thinks that she needs to entitle you to do something before you do it. Sometimes she doesn't do the brat role because she's going through a stage. She knows she is being a brat and she has strategies to precisely annoy me! She really likes to tattle on everybody but so you won't tattle on her, she is very vigilant. What also is very annoying is that she misconstrues everything. If you would tell her to take the dog out she would literally take him out. She once let him go and it was in the neighbor's yard. She likes to feel in charge so she tells you to do whatever she wants. But, she has a little sister now that was born in January,  I think she is jealous but that's only my theoretical thinking. Anyways, she likes to get attention now, but not in a cute way! Okay, this is what she just said at this moment(she's at my house")" I'm going to make cookie pies. You want some? NO! Because there mine and you can't have some. Humph!"  Now I will tell you my opinion on this "stage".

 At first I know it's a stage. Then, when they know this annoys you they do it on purpose. This is why I don't particularly like this stage in life. They think they know everything and they like being boss when really, they don't know half the words that they say!  Although Isabela  can be a brat at times I know i still love her and won't have animosity towards her.I just hope this stage will pass as soon as it came.

My opinion

 My opinion this week is about how many people of today are over weight due to the fact that many do not get outside and exercise. Many over weight kids just spend their days of siting in front of the t.v. playing video games or something along those lines. They sometimes could just spent it eating and they go back to sitting on the couch were they spend more their time. Now when they go to school they might get pit on and they tell on them to the teacher so they teacher gets the kid in trouble. But it is really not the kids fault so picking on him the other kid should see that this will happen all his life and needs to make a change. The kid that is over weight should go out play with kids do some exercise and make a big impact on his life. By doing this he will be a beneficiaries person. And maybe someday he could make a change i other people who are over weight and entice their life. This is just a theoretical thought be might be common for many people. If he loses those pounds he will have more vital in his life. And maybe if he doesn't want to do this by himself he could come up with some kind of strategies to make his friends join him or to fit his schedule. This would be my opinion on kids being over weight or the real word obesity. Kids are over weight because they don't feel good about them self or maybe their is something troubling them in their life. This would be my opinion on people over weight which would be basically they need to see that if they don't want to be picked on for their rest of their life the need to change and improve their life. Because maybe one day they could be entice contemporary kids and tell them their story along with informing them of why they should change. 

My Opinion On Love

         

    I think love is a special thing. But, there are different kinds of love. There is the love you give you parent, friends, siblings, boyfriends/girlfriends, and even animals.  Like when you are born you automatically love your mother for the rest of your life even though as you get older you may not be as close but, there will always be love for your mother in your heart. Then, there is the love for your pets where you love it as it lives, but when it dies you’ll be sad for a little while. Eventually you get over it. Then there is love for a boyfriend/girlfriend it shouldn’t even be called love because most of the time the relationship doesn’t last. And, half of the time people move on and forget about them. Moreover, those are just some concepts of love.

  I also have an opinion on love. Sometimes, I think people say I love you to start a conversation or to entice another person to make them feel more comfortable. Personally I think that people should find something else because I believe when you say “I love you” you’re supposed to mean it. Also, it’s quite angering today to find kids/teenagers contemporary and older that say there so in love with their boyfriend/girlfriend. Then, they want to get all distracted from school and some people actually flunk out because they think it's vital.  I believe that you have all your life to look for love, so right just focus on school and getting good grades.  Also, I believe you can have a love for a sport, job, subject, thing etc. Like how I love track. It is a love or animosity thing where you stay with it or get tired of it and quit. It doesn’t take long for you to realize if you or hate SOMETHING. For example, I realized that I hate tomatoes from the first time I tasted it. However, that’s just my opinion on love.

Sports in your life...how important can they be?

         I think it is vital for girls to play team sports because it helps to build character, maintain healthy bodies and provide self esteem.  Playing team sports as a female athlete will give you a competitive edge as you grow older.  If you are quiet and shy, playing together as a member of a team will help bring you out of your shell.  There is no “I” in team, but as a member of a team you will learn different strategies to win. As it is often the case, girls who play sports and who are good at it, are known as “tomboys”.  I think that we are entitled to be known as athletes, just like our male counterparts.                  

      Although they have the WNBA, Women’s tennis, Pro Softball and Soccer Teams, girls still need to be vigilant, realizing that we are always going to be treated differently.  Even so, I think that the playing of sports will help me as I grow.  In order to win at a sport, you have to dedicate yourself with getting better every day.  You have to learn to listen, focus, and work together with people you may not even like for one common goal; to win.  That is how life is and that’s how we’re treated. You are not going to like everyone you meet, but team effort goes a long way in becoming successful in whatever you do.                      

      Girls who play sports also have a lesser rate of teen pregnancies, drug taking, smoking and drinking, because not only do we want to take care of our bodies, we are so busy with practices, we don’t have time to get in trouble!                                                                       

    Being enticed with a scholarship to the college of your choice is another reason for women to play sports. That, and wanting to stay healthy and fit are two of my main reasons for playing as much basketball as I do.

Jessica Hagy

1: I think that Jessica Hagy means that what are you goals for the further. Also what you need and will be doing to reach and get to your goal what ever it may be. She may also be talking about how you decide what you think  you might want to do for the rest of your life and what it takes to get their after you know where are you from their.

2:  In my opinion i think that my further would most likely be based on a travel agent. This career needs you go go around the world or were ever they may need of your services and create a pan flip about some of things they include. This way when tourist come to enjoy them self they know what the hotel and or place may have and some of its better. This job is good because you also get to enjoy the stuff in your matter and she how your experience was and recommend it to other people.

3:  This job requires you to work hard at it and give it your all. You would have to be open to trying everything they have and then reporting it in a fun creative way for other people who would be interested in some of the activities. You would have to give it your all and yes you need to go to school for this job. Because you just don't travel around the world and experience new things you have to come up with a new way to tell people why they should do this and how it can help them or just relax them.

4: I would like to do this job when i grow up because it gives you a chance to experiences new things. Along with new lessons in life you would meet new people and experience new culter. I think this would be a good life because you get called on and it just lets you have new lessons and experience in your life it also makes you more open to new things.   

Personal Reflection and Research

1. The graphic organizer by Jessica Hagy is attempting to explain that to get to where you would like to be from where you started off in life, it takes a lot of work. This meaning, you have to be dedicated and determined to accomplishing your goal and dream.

2. I believe that her drawing is true because when i get older, my dream is to become a lawyer. And like Jessica said in her drawing, it takes a lot of work to become what you want to be, and i realize that; therefore, I'm going to work hard and try my best.

3. In order to become a lawyer, it takes a lot of work and long time. Becoming a lawyer takes 7 years of full time study after high school, a four year college degree followed by 3 years of law school. Before you can go to law school you must pass the Law School Admission Test (LSAT). However, competition is high amongst law school applicants. After going to law school, you must pass the written bar examination to become a lawyer. It helps that you have a good skill in writing and speaking, reading, researching, analyzing, and thinking logically. These are very important requirements. It also would be a good idea to take all of these courses: English, foreign languages, public speaking, government, philosophy, history, economics, mathematics, and computer science. The practice of law also involves responsibility. People who are hoping to become a lawyer should like to work with people and be able to win the respect and confidence of their clients, associates, and the public. Determination, creativity, and reasoning ability also are essential to lawyers, who often analyze difficult cases and handle new and unique legal problems.

4. Once I get to where i want to be, their are many different types of laws to specialize in. Then you'd have to obtain a client, find out what he/she is being convicted of, research the case, determine if there are witnesses, clues, evidence, present your case before a judge, a jury and its peers and then wait for a verdict. Some cases depending on the severity of the crime can run 6, 8 months even more. Some can be settled in a week or two. Don't be fooled, just because I made it seem simple doesn't mean it's easy.

5. I think that i can do many things at this early age to help me obtain my goal as becoming a lawyer. For example, I can continue to get good grades so that I can go on to high school and take more challenging courses so that it will look good on my college applications. I can read little law books to help me get an understanding of what I would be doing if i become a lawyer. I can continue to stay out of trouble so that I don't obtain a juvenile record.I think that i can ask my friends mom whose a lawyer and have them tell me about what its like. I also think that I can go above and beyond with my dream by focusing more on our government and our history and laws. I could go to extra help with my social studies teacher and learn more about history behind the scenes.

Personal Reflection and research

        What Jessica's graphic organizer means is first you look and where you are now, which in my occasion is school. Next is what you want to do, such as a career and a dream job. Next is lots of work and learning how to deal with that particular job.

My future job that I might think of doing is being a School Counselor. I choose this job because I would love to hear and share thoughts with others and give out awesome advice that others may tell or share with people. I would need lots of work to know what I am doing in this job, I will tell you. Skills are very important when you’re working in a particular job. Here are some of my skills.

Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

Social Perceptiveness - Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.

Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.

Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Alternative means optional solutions, conclusions etc.

Active Learning - Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.

Speaking - Talking to others to convey (express) information effectively.

Writing - Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.

Some other things I would have to do are college, a bachelor's degree is the minimum formal (official) education required for these occupations. However, many also require graduate school. For example, they may require a master's degree, and some require a Ph.D., M.D., or J.D. (law degree). The job description is Assess and evaluates individuals’ problems through the use of case history, interview, and observation and provides individual or group counseling services to assist individuals in achieving more effective personal, social, educational, and vocational (occupational) development and adjustment.

My day...the other day=]

 Right now I'm reading a book=]. I know you're thinking that if you were me you wouldn't read anything. Well, I'm reading this just because I got hooked on it. I was at the school library with Silvia. She was working on a project and I was bored just sitting alone waiting for her. So since we were in the library I decided to take out a book because that's what libraries are for. I ended up taking 20 minutes just to get the book. Then, I had to check it out and that took another 10 minutes. By then it was 3:05. Then I got the creeps so I couldn't start reading my book. You see, there was a weird little sixth grader. So he started to just stare at me and Silvia. So Silvia finished on the computer and she got off...quite quickly. We moved to my table and turned around so the kid couldn't see us. By then it was 3:15. Finally...freedom! We escaped the creepy little sixth grader, although I still cross him in the hallways>=p!!

 Anyways, I was supposed to be writing about my book. Sorry Ms. Hill for getting off topic= [. So I got home and I didn't have homework...yay! I was really bored because there was nothing on television and I didn't feel like going on the computer. It was also really cold outside so I couldn't go play soccer. OH! Then I remembered..."Hey I checked out the book"UGLIES"." So I started reading and it was actually a really great book. It wasn't actually about ugly people. There were really extremely gorgeous people and then there were people that weren’t gorgeous...so they were “ugly". The uglies and the pretties were split up. The pretties were in one city (crossing a bridge) and the uglies were on the other side. Everybody did get pretty when they turned 16. It wasn't actually just "turning" pretty. It was actually an operation. They would make everything about you gorgeous and perfect.But there was also a catch. They would basically erase all of your memory from when you were an ugly. All your tricks and memories…gone. They would insert lesions into your brain. These lesions made you think different. They made you think pretty*. Before the main character, Tally was turning pretty* she was taken into *Special Circumstances*. These were pretty people but people that didn’t have a gorgeous* pretty face. They had a cruel pretty face.Tally had to go on a mission* to The “Smoke”. The “Smoke” was a place where uglies would run away so they wouldn’t turn pretty. Tally went on a mission* to rescue her friend Shay whom had run away to the “Smoke”. When Tally got there she realized she wanted to stay there and never go back to turn pretty*. So then *The Specials* tracked her down and they destroyed “The Smoke”. Before that Tally had met a guy (his parents founded “The Smoke” and they knew a secret*). They were people who did the operation on people but they ran away because of the secret*. So, the secret* is the lesions*. The pretties didn’t know they had these lesions* in there brains so they didn’t care. But the mom of David, the guy Tally met, found a cure. So Shay returned and they turned her pretty. Tally went to get her and asked her to take the pills (the cure). Shay had been brainwashed and taught to think that being pretty was not a disease and there were no “lesions*” in her brain. So Tally had to give herself up to take the pills she had to become a...pretty (gulp*).

That is the next book...PRETTIES.

Personal Reflection and Research

1. The graphic organizer by Jessica Hagy explains the steps of researching your career and what you will have to achive to do that job. She makes a part that says "Where You Are" which means what are you doing with you life right now that could help you with becoming your future career. Then she made a part that says "lots & lots of words" this part clears up what you have to do to get the job.  Last she made a part that says " Where you want to be" which reveals what you want to be and why you to be that.

2. When I get older I want to become a sports podiatrist.

3.  To become a podia. you must graduate high school, have  a four year bachelor’s degree, several years of work elated experience ØOn-the-job training and /or  vocational training

 

4. I can work hard in school. Graduate highschool, college etc. I can pay more attention in science. I also can read books on the human body and read in detail on the feet. I also can work hard now so that as I get older the work will get easier because I am used to working hard.

5. § I would diagnose and treat diseases and deformities of the human foot §I would prescribe drugs and perform surgery §I would advise patients concerning continued treatment of disorders §I would provide foot care to prevent recurrence of disorders

The importance of a healthy diet

    We always hear, "eat your vegetables", but few of us do. Growing up in our house, my mom used to pile them on the plate, and I would kind of shove them to the side. I could not get up until I had eaten them, and according to my mom, we spent many long nights at the table with me crying because I didn't like it, or I had a stomach ache. Lol.

    My mom is a nurse who has worked with newborns to people who are 100+. She used to show me photos of different diseases caused by lack of vitamins that are found in vegetables. Vitamins A and C are two of the most important vitamins needed for a healthy body. By eating vegetables such as carrots, broccoli, peppers, squash and spinach a person can ensure themselves of healthy bones, teeth and vision. Eating these vegetables can help prevent conditions like scurvy (a condition whereby a person is weak, anemic, has loose teeth because of soft spongy gums, and swelling of legs and arms), dry eyes, night blindness, no bone growth and rough skin.

    As I have gotten older, I get to choose my vegetables. My mom doesn't care which ones I eat, just as long as I eat vegetables 5 days a week. I can live with that.

    In conclusion, no more crying!! :]
