1. What Happens In A Secret Circle STAYS In A Secret Circle
When taking place in a secret circle,people are telling secrets that they don't want to leave the circle. If you or someone else were to tell these secrets outside of the circle, even if its just to one other person, it will spread. Now the girl who's secret is being spread could be getting humiliated or in trouble. And if the secret was about someone else that someone could get hurt or angry. The person who told the secret in the circle could be getting laughed at, made fun of, hated, or even having rumors spread about them. Worst of all the girl who blabbed isn't getting treated so nicely either. She could be having the same consequences. In the end, someone gets hurt.
2. Never Make Fun Of Your Friends Sibling
You should NEVER make fun of your friends siblings no matter how tempting it is. One it's just mean, and two your friend might get offended if you do. No matter how much they say that they hate them, or their sibling bothers them, they will most likely defend them should anyone else make a comment. Sometimes there are tiny exceptions though. There are the occasional, "My brother's such a slob, just look at this room!" or "My sister has NO sense of fashion, AT ALL." which is when you might make a comment, but don't keep making comment after comment, that's just rude.
3. Don't Ever Even Think About Breaking A Pinkie Swear
A pinkie swear, though you may not know it, is very important. It's more important than a promise,or a swear. When you make a pinkie swear your being heavily trusted to do, say, or not say what ever it is you swore you would do, say, or not say.When you brake a pinkie swear, you are usually never trusted again. This can even result in ruining a friendship. There is though the case where it was something stupid and you have a forgiving friend, when nothing happens. But I advise never to brake one no matter how stupid.
4.If You Expect To Copy, Prepare To Be Copied
If your the kind of person who sometimes forgets to do their homework, it's OK, as long as you have someone who will tell you what the assignment was, or let you copy their work. But if you want to expect to do this you have to be there when someone else forgets to do their homework. If you never do then no one will ever let you copy them or even tell you what the assignment was. So then your walking into Spanish class saying "Oh yea...THAT homework."
5. Make Sure They Know It's A Joke
Some people kid around with their friends and say things like,
" We have the coolest people at our table"
"Then why are you here Sophie?" or
"Sorry I didn't bring in that book, Sarah. I had to babysit my sister all day."
"Uh! You are SO selfish!" And some people jokingly call each other names like
"Ew, no one likes those candies."
"I do."
" Well thats because you're a weirdo." or
"Only losers would want to get that for their birthday."
" Hey! I want to get that for my birthday."
"Like I said, only losers would want to get that for their birthday." YOU HAVE TO LET THEM KNOW YOU'RE JOKING. If you do this or plan to do this make SURE they know that you don't mean it. You should smile after words, tell them that you are kidding, burst out laughing afterwards (like so many of us do when this happen), or anything else you can think of that will let them know you don't mean it. This can absolutely ruin a friend ship if your friend takes it seriously. So make sure that they know it's a joke!
6. Know When You're Needed
When a friend is in need, she might not always let you know because she doesn't want to ruin your fun. If you are at a party dancing the night away, your friend might be sitting all alone looking a bit sad. Even though she might say nothings wrong and encourage you to go back to dancing this is when you should sit with her and talk, play a game, go to a different section of the party, or leave the party all together and go somewhere you both have fun. You might feel a little sad that you had to stop, but helping and comforting is and was the right thing to do. When a friend is alone, looking bored,sad,upset,crest fallen,down hearted,shy,disappointed, or not having fun, know that this is when you're needed. Sometimes she might be too upset to talk and just being there sitting next to her will make all the difference.
7. When She Has Feelings Have Some Yourself
When one of your friends musters up the courage to tell you the name of the guy she likes, DON'T YOU DARE EVEN LET THE THOUGHT OF LAUGHING CROSS YOUR MIND! You might not think that it's that big a deal, but it is! Your friend had to gather courage and deeply deeply trust you. You are her friend and are expected not to laugh. Not even a smile you keep a straight face. And if you tell a soul, especially if she asked you not to, you better switch cities, change your name, dye your hair and gain an accent because that is probably one of the worst, harmful, and most of all mean things you could ever do in girl world. Again, she trusted you not to tell, and not to laugh. No matter how ugly, dumb, smelly, weird, unfunny, annoying, or any other negative adjective you can think of, she has feelings for him and you should just be honored that you were told. If you do laugh, you could be hurting her feelings and acting like a bad friend. Don't be surprised if you're never trusted again. So be considerate, and be happy for her.
8. Don't Point Fingers Without A Reason Why
Don't start talking about someone if you don't have ALL of the details. Say a false rumor was spread and you saw Natalie whispering to her friends all day and you know that she is in a fight with the girl the rumor is about. Don't jump to conclusions. It could just be a coincidence. If a purse was stolen and you saw that mean girl Ally walking showing off her new purse that looked an awful lot like the one that was stolen, it doesn't mean she did it. If you do start talking before you find out all the details ,you can be wrong and hated. So see if the fight was resolved, find out what the purse looked like, get as much info. as you can, but spreading a rumor when you don't have the whole story can hurt, humiliate,or get the completely wrong person into a lot of trouble. Worst of all it can get you into a lot of trouble as well.
9. The "New" Rule
When you get something new, whether it's a phone,camera,i-pod, uggs, clothes, or what ever it's important to remember that as excited as you might get, not everyone else will be as excited as you are for as long as you are. So you can be excited and tell everyone else that you're excited, but don't keep it up all day. Your friends will get bored, sick of it, or even annoyed. There's nothing wrong with being excited but don't overdo it. NEVER show off, it's just plain out rude! You friends can take it the wrong way and start to think that you are trying to show them up. They could also start to think that you are acting mean, snotty, and like a show-off , which you actually might be doing anyway without even noticing. When you get excited don't be obnoxious.
