Colors have various connotations and may influence viewers differently. Choose one color and research it by clicking on at least two of the sites listed here. Inform us 1) why you chose that color and what you already know about it and 2) what you learned about your color from each site you went to. Provide a link to each site. Anything that you quote directly please put into italics and be sure that we can tell where you quoted from.
example:
I chose the color red because you are the red group. I already knew that red is often associated with speed, aggressiveness and love. I am aware that some gangs use red to identify themselves and that Valentine's Day is a red holiday (as in Christmas when red is associated with it's complement, green).
At Color Psychology I learned that red stimulates a faster heartbeat and breathing. I also learned that red clothing gets noticed and makes the wearer appear heavier. I may not wear red anymore for that reason. I also learned that red is an aggressive color and for that reason it may not be the best color for when you want to negotiate or create a peaceful outcome.
The funniest thing I learned at Color Psychology is that because pink (red mixed with white) is associated with loss of energy and being tranquilized, Sports teams sometimes paint the locker rooms used by opposing teams bright pink so their opponents will lose energy.
I also went to Claudia Cortes' site, Color in Motion, because I happen to know the animation and it's an enjoyable way to learn about color. In The Stars Section I learned that red is associated with good luck in both China and India. I already knew that red was the color of wedding dresses in traditional indian weddings.
The color i chose is blue. I chose the color blue because it represents many things. It represents cold, water, the sky, and the color of a baby boy.
At the website Color wheel i learned that it also meant it is the color of the sky and sea. It is often associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven.. It also says that Blue is considered beneficial to the mind and body. It slows human metabolism and produces a calming effect. Blue is strongly associated with tranquility and calmness. In heraldry, blue is used to symbolize piety and sincerity.
Another thing is that You can use blue to promote products and services related to cleanliness (water purification filters, cleaning liquids, vodka), air and sky (airlines, airports, air conditioners), water and sea (sea voyages, mineral water). As opposed to emotionally warm colors like red, orange, and yellow; blue is linked to consciousness and intellect. Use blue to suggest precision when promoting high-tech products.
Another website i used is crystal it told me that Blue gives a feeling of distance. Artists use it to to show perspective. This is a good way to understand the energy of the color blue - it allows us to look beyond and increase our perspective outward. It contains a cool vibration that is helpful to communication.

The color I chose is black. I researched the information at 'Color: Meaning, Symbolism and and Psychology' I was originally was going to do pink but then I changed my mind. When I was there I realized that black not only symbolizes death, mystery and sorrow; it means elegance and class. I also learned that black makes you look thinner, but i'm already really skinny and I exercise often. I already know that black stands for death, misery and mystery, I didn't know of it's other uses. For example, you go to a black- tie wedding or party where all the people dress up uncomfortably and sip their fancy glasses while discussing stocks or politics.
I took a color quiz and it said that I am a 'black' kind of person.
Another site I went to was The Meaning Behind Colors. They say that black symbolizes dramtic, committed, classy and serious people I didn't know that. I thought that it was just class and seriosity. I like that it makes you looks thinner, but instead of dressing all in black, exercise.
I believe in black and it's use. We all wear it sometime in our lives except the white stripes. Thw white stripes always dress in red and white. That was off topic...
Black also symbolizes EVIL and coldness.

The color I chose was black. I know that black is associated with space and negative energy. I wanted to find out more about black. First I went to Color Psychology and found out that black is also associated with power and authority. And that when worn will often signify the bad guy in movies. I also learned from Color Meaning Symbolism and Psychology that black makes people feel inconspicuious, it implies a restful emptiness and it mysterious evoking a sense of potential and possibility.
And finally from All About Black here is THE LANGUAGE OF BLACK
Black comedy: creating comedy out of a tragic event or situation.
Black coffee: coffee without milk.
Black belt: the highest awarded belt in the martial arts.
Blackball: voting against someone in a secret manner to prevent them from becoming a member of a club.

Black sheep: a bad character in an otherwise respectable group.
Black day: a bad day, or often used before the name of a paticular day to symbolize a tragic event, black Tuesday or black Friday for example.

The color I chose for this assignment is green because it is a color that shows peace and tranquillity. It is also my favorite color. When I get angry I think of the color green because it calms me down. It allows us to think clear thoughts. For my second site I chose something a little simpler. This site breaks down the aspects of green the positive and negative. href="http://www.graphicdesign.digestopia.com/colorpalettes/meaningbehindcolors.htm> This site might give you the clearest thought in the color wheel.

I used Color Symbolism, Color and Personality, gemstone Color and Meanings I t says that Purple is the color of good judgement I learned that Thursday’s color is purple and people use purple to surround themselves with peace of mind and serenity and that purple was once thought of as magic and mystery, but it was also thought of royalty. I also learned that when you wear purple when you want to encourage fantasy, mystery, and imagination.

I chose the color Black because it excites me the color and a lot of the color around us is black. And also Black is said to make people appear thinner. (Which I think the ladies would like). So that’s why I chose black.
At Color Psychology I learned that black is the color of power and authority. It also implies submission. Also on colorwheelpro I learned that Black is associated with power, elegance, formality, death, evil, and mystery. So black is pretty much an evil powerful and max authority color.
I think black is a color associated mostly with violence and hatred. For example just like in spider-man3 when peter got the black suit he got evil & had lots of hatred in himself

I chose the color green because, it is my favorite color. Green is my favorite color but I chose it so that I can find out what green really stands for/whats it's meaning. Green is considered one of the additive primary colors. The percept of green is evoked by light having a spectrum dominated by energy with a wavelength of roughly 520–570 nm.
The complement of green is a purple, such as magenta; that is, a color corresponding to a mixture of red and blue light.
On a traditional color wheel, based on subtractive color, the complementary color to green is considered to be red
I learned that the color green represents alot of things in the world. Green can be represented as a flag, as nature, as comic books, as politics and many more. Here is a site that shows a green moss fountain picture. If you want more information on my color (green) go to this website green.

I chose the color blue because one it’s my favorite color. I already knew that blue meant to be sad. Some other things I knew it’s the color of the sky, it’s one of the primary colors and it’s the color of jeans. I’m aware that some gangs like the crips use blue bandanas. At COLOR MEANING I leaned that blue is the color of the sky and sea. I also leaned blue is often associated with depth and stability. I was mostly fascinated by what it symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven.
I like the fact that Light blue is associated with health, healing, tranquility, understanding, and softness. Those things I can be on my good days. Then my dark blue side comes in at time. Dark blue represents knowledge, power, integrity, and seriousness.
I also went to COLOR PSYCHOLOGY and I leaned that blue is one of the most popular colors. I also leaned that blue causes the opposite reaction as red. That is peaceful, tranquil blue causes the body to produce calming chemicals, so it is often used in bedrooms. I thought that people are more productive in blue rooms was quite funny.

I picked the color green because it is my favorite color and it reminds me of nature. From color psychology I learned that green is a calming, refreshing color so people waiting to appear on TV sit in "green rooms" to relax. Also, in hospitals often use green because it relaxes patients. In addition, brides in the mid ages used to wear green to symbolize fertility. Additionally, some people think that dark green is masculine, conservative, and implies wealth but, seamstresses often refuse to use green thread on the eve of a fashion show for fear that it will bring bad luck.
In squidoo I learned other things about the color. For example, green alleviate depression, nervousness and anxiety and offers a sense of renewal, self-control and harmony. It also says at sensationalcolor green is the color of the Heart Chakra and the color is associated with resurrection and regeneration.

The color that I chose was blue because Blue can represent different things such as sadness, the sky, clear water or the simple color of a balloon. In the sky all you see is mostly blue in the mornings but in some areas it can be cloudy all the time.
At < a herf= “http:/www.devx.com”> I learned that colors are visible lights made into seven wavelengths also known as the seven colors of the rainbows and that “the reddish colors are the long wavelengths and the bluish colors are the short wavelengths.”
At the website < a herf= “http:/www.daividairey.com”> I learned that the color “Blue” is intellectual, trust, serenity, coolness, calmness and logic. For the negative approach it means Coldness, aloofness, lack of emotion and unfriendliness. In some cases blue is the color of the mind and sometimes soothing. There are two types of blue people, Strong Blues and Soft Blues. Strong blues stimulate clear thoughts and lighter thoughts and soft blues calm the mind and aid concentration.

For this assignment I chose the color yellow because no one else chose it and because it is the color of the stars. One thing I learned about the color yellow is that it is an attention getter. Now that I think about it,that's probably why highlighters are yellow and other bright colors, but still the first thing that comes to mind when you think of a highlighter, is the color yellow. In nature the reason that many flowers such as forsythias, daisys and poppies, just to name a few, are yellow is to attract pollinators, again attention getters.Speaking of pollinaters, bees are yellow to attract attention for the reason that if you mess with them, you are going to getting hurt. Now onto the pyscology of the color yellow. On www.infoplease.com it claims that in yellow rooms people loose their tempers much more easily, and that babies are more likely to cry.I have yet to see if this is true because I have never come across a yellow room.Oh well actually the other day I saw this crazy house that was purple with yellow trim! It actually looked pretty cool,I hear the people that live there are extremely artsy people.Wow I had absolutey no idea that there was sooo much to color and that people actually specialize in this field, amazing!
