Question #7

I chose question #7. I don't think popular people get away with more things then un-popular people. We are all the same maybe not looks or anything like that but we are all people. Just because kids are cool and have alot of friends doesn't mean they can get away with anything they want. I could have no friends (which isn't true) and can not be popular (which isn't true) and I can do something bad and can get away with it. But all I'm trying to say is that everyone is equal and if they do anything they should get punished equaly.

BRACES final

I always wanted them and I was finally getting them. When I got my braces I was so happy. I was so happy because a lot of my summer friends have them and I  I thought braces were really cool that is not what my friends said but I didn’t listen. Then the day I went to get my braces I was so excited I got blue and white as my first colors. I regret getting braces I had 2 choices get teeth pulled or braces and I chose braces. The reason I regret getting them is because the second week I had them my teeth were killing me I had to eat apple sauce and soup and it wasn’t fun. But I like my braces no they don't hurt that much anymore. I can eat whatever I want now. I don't recomend braces if you have another choice, but they will do what needs to be done. Every month you have to go to the orthodontist to get your braces tightened and to change the color. The next day after you get your braces tightened your teeth will be killing you. If you have braces and want to keep your teeth clean all you have to do is brush your teeth 2 or 3 times a day.

Emma's New Game

While dozing off, my quiet time was interrupted by a thundering noise. What could it be? Where was it coming from? Looking up, but not in time, I saw my sister's body coming down on my head.

Getting a determined 51 pound, 5-year-old girl off your head is not easy, as you can imagine. But after I finally managed to heave her off my head, I realized my whole family was laughing. I lay back down, trying to recover, thinking it was just a one-timer thing. I was wrong!

I heard my sister start running and saw her shadow coming closer and closer. Suddenly  the shadow rose a foot in the air, so I quickly braced myself. And yet again, I felt a colossal weight come down on my head. She came again. This time she got her pink whistle blew it then started running. I knew what to do.

Just as she jumped, I rolled to the side as quickly as I could. She missed my body by a half of a foot. I started laughing but as soon as I did, I felt a very heavy weight come down on my head. And that was how Emma's New Game was invented.

Auto biography

At my trip to Disneyland my favorite ride was The Hollywood Tower. The Hollywood Tower is a model of a hotel from the 60’s that is supposed to be haunted. It is believed that a midget takes you to an elevator and once you get on, the elevator drops. When the people were getting off the ride, they looked dizzy. On the line we had to wait 45 minutes to get on. My heart was beating very fast and it got faster as the line moved on. When I finally got to the front of the line my sister got very scared and ran off the line, although she was very weary of it in the beginning I never thought she was going to chicken out. When I got on I had a big adrenaline rush. First they let us watch a video of people who stayed at the hotel in the 60’s it was really creepy. It went over a thousand feet in the air I was very scared. Overall that was the best day of my life!

meeting isiah thomas

There were only 10 seconds left in the game. Ursline was losing the game by only 2 points.  Next Maria Lopez came dribbling down the court like a tornado. 5 seconds left and then Maria shoots the ball from the 3point line and wow she swishes the ball. After there was a huge celebration for the whole squad. The daughter of Isiah Thomas played for the bears and her dad Isiah was actually at the game. Once we were all done eating at the party Shayne and me went over to him and got autographs and we both got pictures with him. The reason I chose to write about this event is because this experience was so great and he is a legend of basketball. He played in the NBA. He is in the basketball hall of fame. This was a very cool experience and I loved writing about this.

Snow Day

The freezing cold on my face melted down the side of my head, soaking it wet. It was February it snowed from nine the night before to three in the afternoon. I was really anxious to go outside because it hadn’t snowed all December and January. So I ate a big breakfast. I had chocolate waffles, a bagel with cream cheese and a big cup of hot chocolate. I put my snow boots, skiing pants, two layers of shirts, a bright green sweater, a rain jacket and my orange ski goggles on.

On the way out my house, I slipped on my front yard because I wasn’t prepared for the slippery ice that formed. The snow looked like a big bedding of powder. It was about six or seven inches, but it felt like a lot more because it was so hard to move in. I was forming a lot of snowballs with my hand. It was difficult because the snow was really soft and my hands were freezing cold the snow had entered my gloves.

I started to help my mom clean the sidewalk. I threw out salt all over and shoveled the snow after doing all that work I was so tired. I felt my muscles tightening up every step I took. Overall even though all the work was tiring I had a lot of fun.

Dorney park

The roller coaster ticked as we slowly climbed the first hill. The ticking got louder as we neared the first peak. We pushed through the tunnel, getting closer to the first drop, I began to have second thoughts about being on this ride. Then the clicking stopped and I thought to myself  "Yes!!!, the ride is over!" Then the coaster shot forward and stopped at the very top......Then we drop 240 ft. so fast that my feet came off the floor and I was screaming. Then another drop, this time it was only 107 ft. down. When we got off I threw up. The name of this coaster was Steel Force, and I would ride it again, but not alone.

Then we went on Aquazoid, a huge water slide. At first I felt like I was going to fall off. Then I realized, THE ENTIRE RIDE IS IN THE DARK!! Now what did I get myself into!!! After the first drop, I was ready for anything. There were seven more twists and turns. I liked the fact that it was pitch black during the ride, you never knew what was coming next. I also liked that the way the slide was put together, when the sun hit it, it looked like there was a monster on the slide with you.

After the water slide we went on this raft slide that shoots you out of a tunnel like a rocket and you land in this huge pool.

The Rapid Plunge was a good name for this ride, because that’s just what you did...rapidly plunge. The ride resembles rapids for a while and then you hit the tunnel, and that was the best part, we shot out so fast there wasn’t time to get scared. I liked this ride a lot and would ride it again.
